Lauren’s Lowdown: Celebs Parents LEAST Want Kids To Idolize; Houstonian Named ‘Highest Paid’

A new survey asked more than 2000 parents which celebrity they’d hate for their kids to idolize, and 78% picked Miley Cyrus. For male celebrities, Kanye West is #1 with 56%. On the flip side, 27% of parents were cool with Taylor Swift and 41% approved of Ed Sheeran.

Miley Cyrus is the #1 negative influence, with a whopping 78% of parents not wanting their kids to follow her example. Nicki Minaj is at #2 with 54%, followed by Kim Kardashian with 43%, Kristen Stewart at 36%, and Rihanna at 34%.

Kanye West is the #1 negative influence among male celebrities, with 56% of the vote, and Justin Bieber is right below him at 55%. Zayn Malik of One Direction was third with 41%, followed by Shia LaBeouf at 38%.

Forbes has put together their annual list of the Highest-Paid Male TV Actors, and it really pays to be on “The Big Bang Theory“…

Jim Parsons is #1 with $29 million in earnings over the past year, with 3 other actors from the same show in the top 6.

Here’s the top 6:

1. Jim Parsons from “The Big Bang Theory”, $29 million
2. Johnny Galecki from “The Big Bang Theory”, $27 million
3. A four-way tie at $20 million between: Mark Harmon from “NCIS”, Ashton Kutcher from “Two and a Half Men”, and “The Big Bang Theory” actors Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.

The series premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead” was the top show on cable and it nearly outperformed everything on broadcast TV too. The only show to beat it was Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent“, by less than a million viewers.

As you may have heard, the 10.1 million people who caught the premiere helped “Fear the Walking Dead” set a record as the most-watched series premiere EVER on cable.

Candace Cameron Bure is officially one of the newest panelists for The View…

According to ABC, the actress is joining the show’s panel alongside returning host Joy Behar and new corresponded Paula Faris.

“As The View embarks on a remarkable 19th season, I am extremely proud to see the legacy of smart and diverse women engaging in entertaining and thought-provoking conversation continue,” Barbara Walters, creator and executive producer, said in a press release announcing the news.

A 12-year-old boy in Taiwan accidentally tripped and fell onto a 350-year-old painting worth $1.5 million while visiting a Tapei museum with his family!

Ummmm, oooops?

It was a 17th century Paolo Porpora oil painting, titled “Flowers,” and of course now It has to be restored after the boy’s hand punched through a spot on the lower right part of the canvas.

According to the Telegraph, the rare painting is owned by a private collector and is insured, and will be shipped back to Italy to be restored.
